Your job is not to like everyone who comes to you for help. Your job is to diagnose the problem and direct its treatment. Your job is to not allow personal feelings of disgust to affect your work. I’m not even saying you aren’t allowed to have those feelings – I am saying you have a responsibility never to let them prevent you from treating a patient with the same care and meticulousness as you would someone one-quarter his size.
