Teen parents need what all parents need: high-quality and affordable childcare, family-friendly policies and resources at schools and workplaces, a decent social safety net, empathetic support because parenting is hard, and a ceasefire on judgmental asshole-ism and discrimination. Throwing one group of parents under the bus because we’re terrified our own children may someday “ruin their lives” by becoming parents earlier than we’d prefer is a bizarre and cruel strategy.
