6/7/2014: HAVE YOU SEEN THIS CAT? (Jamaica Plain, Mass.)
Geraldine is a six year old long-haired black cat with brown highlights in the fur under her chin. She was adopted four years ago from Black Cat Rescue and has been an indoor cat ever since. We recently moved from Allston (Mass.) to Jamaica Plain (Mass.) and live in the Hyde Square / Heath Street area, across from Hennigan elementary school.
Geraldine was last seen this evening (Saturday, June 7th) at approximately 7pm, when she was on the second-floor balcony with her sister-cat and humans while they ate dinner. When dinner was over, we noticed Geraldine was no longer with us and assumed she had gone back inside the apartment. However, a thorough search failed to find her. We are concerned that she somehow got down to the ground from the balcony and have not been able to find her in the apartment building or neighborhood.
Geraldine is a sweet-tempered cat, but shy and will be defensive if she feels cornered. She is not declawed. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations, flea, and heartworm medications. As she is an indoor cat, she does not have a collar.
She responds well to offers of food.
